Scott Brown: best atmosphere I've ever known

Celtic skipper Scott Brown has admitted that the atmosphere at Sunday’s 3-0 win over Rangers was the best he’s ever known.

Brown has been at Celtic for almost four seasons and was bowled over by the noise coming from the stands as Neil Lennon’s side hit top gear.

“It was the best atmosphere I’ve known in my time here,” he told Channel 67. “ I had a glance at the crowd when they had their backs to the pitch and saw them bouncing up and down- that was priceless

“Champions League nights are good but that was the loudest and the best that I have heard the fans. It was special to beat Rangers 3-0 at home.”

Brown missed two months of the season due to a foot injury but has been back to his best just as Celtic have struck form.

With Biram Kayal forming a great central midfield partnership the former Hibs man has looked a natural on the right of a four man midfield.

Injuries have dogged Brown over the past two seasons but with three trophies up for grabs over the next three months he hopes he’s seen the last of the treatment room.

He added: “I’ve had a few niggling injuries but hopefully I can stay clear of injury from now until the end of the season

“When I’ve had injuries I’ve found myself wanting to get back and play more than ever but when I’ve come back they’ve still been irritating me.

“I’ve not had any luck with injuries but I’m feeling good now and enjoying my football.”
