Celtic away support voted among the best in Britain

Neil Lennon Celtic newsCeltic’s away support has been voted in the top five in a poll conducted by Zoo magazine.

The mainly Premiership based survey saw 8% of supporters give Celtic their vote when asked: Who are the best away supporters in Britain?

Not surprisingly Liverpool (28%), Manchester United (12%) and Newcastle (14%) filled the top three spots with Celtic in jont fourth place alongside Tottenham and ahead of West Ham, Manchester City and Leeds.

Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea filled the top three spots in the most hated supporters poll.

Martin O’Neill is backed by 4% of supporters to become the next England manager with Harry Redknapp the overwhelming choice of 53% of those who took part in the poll.

Steven Gerrard was voted as the best current Premiership player by 21% of fans with Gareth Bale, Carlos Tevez and Cesc Fabregas also well backed.

Ryan Giggs and Jimmy Bullard were the most popular drinking partners for the ‘who would you most like to go for a pint with’ poll with El Hadji-Diouf the runaway winner with 30% of the votes cast in the ‘who would you least like to go for a pint with’ category.
