Hearts match called off

James Keatings Celtic newsToday’s youth match with Hearts at Lennoxtown has been postponed due to the weather.

Heavy snow this morning resulted in the match being called off after a 10.45 pitch inspection.

It’s the second consecutive postponement for the Celtic u-19s after Saturday’s match at Kilmarnock also fell victim of the weather.

Celtic are currently sitting in second place five points behind Rangers but with a game in hand.

Stevie Frail’s side have still to play 8 of their 22 league matches and are still involved in the SFA Youth Cup where they have a home semi-final against Livingston.

On Saturday Celtic are due to play Hibs at Lennoxtown with a 1.30pm kick off.
