Neil Lennon has used his twitter account to explain last night’s referee incident against Athletico Bilbao.

“Ref over fussy as I disputed a f kick….anyway we played some scintillating stuff against a class side and we should have won,” the Celtic boss tweeted

U-17 internationalists Marcus Fraser, Joe Chalmers and John Herron were drafted into the Celtic side last night with their manager delighted by how they handled playing in front of 40,000 fans at the San Mames stadium.

“Amazing game…we played fantastic football..the three young boys were immense while senior guys played superbly..so proud..atmosphere great,” the Celtic boss told his growing army of twitter followers.

“Would also like to thank Bilbao for their hospitality and their supporters were also fantastic to us and created an amazing atmosphere.”

Twitter fan mikeybhoy67 asked the Celtic boss about the fans with @officialneil replying: “They were amazing throughout.”
