SFA set up another talking shop

The SFA have attempted to tackle the issues in Scottish football by launching another talking  shop grandly titled ‘Workstream Two’.

If there’s one thing that Scottish football doesn’t require it’s another working party/think tank.

Within weeks of the Scottish Government setting up another ‘new’ initiative to tackle the ills of the game the SFA have decided that there is a need for yet another talking shop rather than going hands on to deal with the issues.

The SFA declared: “Workstream Two, a sub group of the Joint Action Group, met at Hampden for the first time today to discuss the next steps required to address various issues surrounding Scottish football.

The first meeting was chaired by Scottish Premier League chief executive Neil Doncaster and attended by Scottish FA chief executive Stewart Regan, Scottish Football League chief executive David Longmuir and representatives from Celtic FC, Rangers FC, Strathclyde Police, and the Scottish Government.

It should be noted that this was an initial meeting to allocate work streams, and that actions will be agreed and acted upon following subsequent meetings, but before the start of the new season.

Today, it was agreed to look in more depth at four key areas:

*To ensure that the existing rules and regulations of Scottish football are rigorously applied and respected

*To explore jointly and understand the practicalities of new fixture scheduling opportunities to minimise damage to communities

*To support the expansion of the excellent existing community and social partnerships between the Old Firm to take every opportunity to demonstrate mutual respect and cooperation

*To offer full support to all the work by clubs, authorities and police to work with communities to address alcohol misuse, sectarianism, racism, domestic abuse and violence

Why the SFA need to set up Workstream Two from a Joint Action Committee to ensure that the existing rules and regulations of Scottish football are rigorously applied is beyond ridicule.

With wordy statements like that it’s no wonder Scottish football is in such a state.

The recent McLeish Report urged the SFA to streamline itself- with Workstream Two and a Joint Action Group set up in the last month it seems that the reverse is the case.

The last one was very successful and informative.
It successfully informed the huns that no matter what vile antics they get upto, from illegal racist sectarian bigoted chanting, to getting full of reck the hoose juice then going home and beating their wives senseless, Celtic supporters will always be apportioned half their shame.
Infact they now know it is actually to be encouraged, as the the media, the sfa, Scottish government representatives and, quite unbelievably, the police congratulated them on creating such a fantastic atmosphere. It was infact seen as a splendid advertisement for Scottish football across the planet.
    High praise indeed!!!
It also allowed the laptop lickspittles in the fourth reich estate to shove the despised o** f*** tag down everyones throat at every possible opportunity, just to drive home the message.
It also informed the scum that they can sing their illegal bile as loud as they want and for as long as they want with complete impunity.
I’m sure those sitting in the hallowed halls of Hampden would consider that to have been a very worthwhile days work.
