Incredible incompetence from Iain Brines

|

Iain Brines referee newsNeil Lennon’s return to the dug-out was marked by another incredible show of incompetence from officials- this time Iain Brines.

Highlighting a performance where he never really got on top of the game was an incident in the closing minutes when St Johnstone defender Michael Duberry clearly handled the ball twice in the penalty area with Brines waving play on.

After a Georgios Samaras cross towards goal was blocked the ball broke back towards Duberry under pressure from Samaras.

The former Chelsea defender stumbled under pressure from the Celtic forward and clearly grabbed the ball to prevent Samaras gaining possession.

Virtually conceeding that he had given away a penalty he then leans on the ball to get back up but finds that Brines has missed the incident and continues with play.

“Duberry goes down, he then handles the ball,” BBC commentator Paul Mitchell said. “If that’s not a free kick it’s a penalty.

“The referee wasn’t interested in a free kick nor was he interested in giving Celtic a penalty.

“There was a touch here for Samaras on Duberry, he goes down, he handles the ball again.”

On his return to the dug out Neil Lennon could only look on in amazement at Brines decision.

“It’s a clear cut penalty,” the Celtic boss said. “If he doesn’t give a free kick against Georgios then he has to give the penalty, he just used the two hands.”

With no access to the match observor’s report Lennon, the fans at McDiarmid Park and ESPN viewers will be left in the dark by the SFA about Brines thoughts on the matter.

Playing on when umpteen footballs on the playing field – honest mistake.
Allow Celtic goal to stand = honest mistake.
Two footed tackle on Wilson = yellow card – honest mistake.
Tackle from behind on Brown = no card – honest mistake.
Deliberate handball in penalty area, twice – honest mistake.
Lifting both hands to Samaras = no card – honest mistake.
Referee performance = 10/10 oops sorry honest mistake.
Proven Rangers fans on SFA Committees = deliberate.

An attempt at winding Lenny up, to get a reaction?

If St Johnstone equalised after that decision and it ended up costing Celtic more vital points, just as blatantly bias decisions like that did before Dougie liar and Hugh the bigot were exposed this season (and as bias decisions have in the previous 2 seasons cost celtic the title) or any other blatantly bias decision this season costs Celtic the title then Celtic should refuse to play the first away glasgow derby of next season.

That would highlight the bias, bigotry, sectarianism and outright racism in Scotland, f#@k the 3 points because Rangers will continue to be handed points anyway.

I also want Celtic to mount some kind of protest against the bias SFA after fat sally, scooby doof, and “free to kick anything that moves” bogeyera were given blatant preferential treatment to help Rangers title bid, I’ve heard mention by fellow tims that if we win the cup we should refuse to lift the cup.

I think that is a fantastic idea and it would highlight Scotland’s bigotry problem with eufa‚ COME ON BHOYS, NO MORE!

Now the police are trying to deflect attention from Rangers sectarianism and SFA bigotry by talking about “the Old Firm problem” dont get wrapped up in these distractions.

We need to deal with the SFA sectarianism first and foremost, walk away from the cup if we win it lenny and lets show these scumbags we are not 2nd class people and we will not tolerate their medieval way of thinking.
