Stuart McCall: That was embarrassing

|

SPL Celtic newsMotherwell boss Stuart McCall has labelled his side’s 5-0 hammering from Rangers as embarrassing.

Three weeks before their Scottish Cup Final date with Celtic Motherwell were turned over on their own park in front of a live television audience.

“We are really, really disappointed,” McCall said. “We didn’t see that coming. I don’t think anyone could have seen that coming before the game and certainly not at half-time.

“The last 30 minutes were embarrassing. It’s embarrassing the fact you get beat 5-0 at home, that should never happen.

“It’s not even acceptable to go away to the Old Firm and get beat like that, but it’s understandable if they’re playing really well. But not on your own patch.”

The Motherwell boss added: “I think some of the Rangers goals were outstanding. If their best players are at the top of of their game, they’re hard to live with.

“In the first half, we more than matched them and we had better chances, but what was disappointing was the second-half performance.

“There were a couple of key decisions that went against us, but it’s really disappointing because the lads have been great since I’ve been here.

“But I’m gutted – everyone in that dressing-room is playing for a Cup final place, for other clubs who are watching them, or a new contract here – they’ve all got things to play for.”

Motherwell benefit greatly from Celtic winning the league. Or do we think Motherwell are content to damage themselves to help Rangers? Don’t be daft!!

celtic v motherwell this season won two 1-0, lost one 2-0, ragers v motherwell this season, have won their games something along the lines of 6-1, 4-0, 4-1 and now 5-0! not impossible in football for these kinds of results but you gotta say the facts are pretty “odd”. more concerning about motherwell is why 250 of its residents made complaints about celtic under 15’s bag packing in a store there to raise money for a trip away, resulting in them having to remove their club blazers and ties, then being told to leave the store! what kind of country is scotland for that to happen ffs! i live in london and when i told people here they were truly shocked and disgusted. absolutely disgusting. those who complained and those who have allowed anti irish and and anti catholicism to thrive unchallenged and hidden in scotland are a vile, spiteful, cowardly backwards scum who should hang their heads in shame.
