Title race shifts from Kilwinning to Linlithgow!

Celtic’s u-19 side face an early start with a trip to Linlithgow to take on Hamilton Accies in the title race, kick-off 11am.

After the monsoon conditions of Kilwinning in midweek where they beat Kilmarnock 6-0 the weather looks a bit more pleasant for Stevie Frail’s breakfast bhoys.

Three points today would put Celtic ahead of Rangers with a game in hand but leaders Hearts are in action at St Mirren and can maintain their four point lead with a win over the Saints who beat Rangers 2-1 in midweek.

At best Celtic’s season could be described as stop-start but the next three matches, against Hamilton, Rangers on Tuesday and St Mirren next Saturday, can make a huge impact on their title hopes.

Hamilton are sitting third bottom of the table with 19 points from 18 games but are certainly capable of the unexpected having beaten Hearts 7-0 away from home and also beaten Rangers 3-1.
