Rod Stewart joins the Celtic huddle

|

Rod Stewart Celtic fanCelebrity Celtic fan Rod Stewart didn’t want to miss out on the excitement as the hoops supporters celebrated the incredible efforts of Neil Lennon’s side.

The singer has been fairly regular at Celtic matches this season and watched the 4-0 hammering of Motherwell from the seat gifted to him for opening the North Stand in 1995.

With the biggest ever huddle sweeping round the stadium Rod joined in with his mates as almost the entire stadium turned it’s back on the pitch as Mark Wilson received treatment.

The video below shows Rod joining in the fun on a day never to be forgotten by those supporters who were present or who watched around the world with pride at their teams efforts.

At the final whistle, as he was interviewed on the pitch Celtic manager Neil Lennon stated: “This isn’t the end- this is just the beginning.

Stewart has been following Celtic since the seventies when he struck up a rapport with Kenny Dalglish and Jimmy Johnstone.

Earlier this year he called his latest child Aiden with not much detective work required for the inspiration behind that decision.
