Sepp Blatter 'survives' as FIFA suspend two executives

|

FIFA Celtic newsPresident Sepp Blatter has amazingly escaped unscathed from today’s FIFA election despite two of FIFA’s top officials being suspended.

Mohamed Bin Hammam and vice-president Jack Warner have both been suspended by FIFA’s ethics committee as claims of corruption threaten to overwhelm the game’s ruling body.

The ethics committee has cleared Blatter of turning a blind eye to the reported bribes.

The decisions clear the way for him to be re-elected unopposed for a fourth term on Wednesday.

Bin Hammam, who heads Asia’s football confederation, and Warner, from Trinidad, have been accused of offering bribes to officials in the Caribbean. If found guilty, they could be expelled from Fifa and banned from all football activity.

American executive member Chuck Blazer raised the claims against Warner that has brought FIFA to it’s knees.

Although Blatter appears to have survived this scandal his position is virtually untenable with a new regime of accountability almost certain to sweep through the corridors of power.

FIFA is nearly as corrupt as the SFA! At least the people doing it at FIFA are doing it for a bit of cash and not because they hate a minority i suppose.

The mere mention of corruption inside FIFA makes me smile. The SFA are the most corrupt organization in world football, yet they fly under the radar and get away with it year after year. Lenny4myth2, you are 100% dead right. The SFA corruption is from anti-Celtic, anti-Catholic roots.

The sad thing that every once in a while, it is proven, someone gets fired and they go on doing the same things like they never happened! Jim Farry, Hugh Dallas, Gordon Smith, Dougie McDonald, Liar Peat, they were all in there for one reason and one reason only.

To make sure Celtic had limited success and Rangers were favoured in major situations. The undignified exit from Walter Smith, the actions of the official worst fans in Europe, the admonishment of McCoist and two of his players, even though McCoist openly admitted to starting the fracas with Lennon, all these actions, protected by the SFA show a level of corruption that is unmatched anywhere in world football.

The scottish media, the SFA, pundits and rangers supporters love to jump on the word “conspiracy”, it’s easy to dismiss bias against Celtic when that word is thrown around because it is simply associated so strongly with crack pots, it gives the perception of tin foil hats, alien invasions and lizard men. Thats their little get out clause, that’s their excuse to dismiss bias, anti irish racism and anti catholicism. I don’t think i have EVER heard Celtic fans use that term, i have heard the terms bias, corruption, favouritism of rangers etc. I don’t believe referees sit at a table and draw up plans to conspire against us, i just believe there are plenty of individual referees who are bigots, they also know it will be easier to succeed as a ref in Scotland if big decisions go rangers way, the SFA is saturated by pro rangers men and bigots who individualy know it’s in their interests to favour rangers.
The english FA and SFA are currently accusing FIFA of corruption, are they labelled as paranoid conspiracy nuts
