Former Celt clinches Serie A move

Evander Sno Genoa newsFormer Celt Evander Sno has signed a three year contracting with Genoa.

The much travelled midfielder came through his medical with flying colours despite suffering a heart attack whilst playing for Ajax reserves in September last year.

Sno joined Celtic in 2006 from Feyernoord but after breaking into the team almost straight away he drifted out of the picture with the arrival of Paul Hartley.

During the 2006/2007 season he started five matches in the Champions League as Celtic qualified from the group stage for the first time.

The following season he featured mainly as a substitute before joining Ajax in 2008 after appearing for Holland at the Olympic Games in China.

Genoa finished last season in tenth place in Serie A, picking up 51 points, the same tally as Artur Boruc’s Fiorentina.

Twenty-four year old Sno is one of 13 players that have been signed by Genoa coach Albert Sani Male for the new season.

During his time with Ajax Sno had a loan spell with Bristol City making Genoa his fifth senior club.
