Inter Milan face Celtic tomorrow with the Italian giants locked in two of the biggest transfer sagas of the close season.

Whether Carlos Tevez considers Milan to be closer to his family in Argentina is open to interpretation but there is less mystery surrounding Manchester United’s interest in Wesley Sneijder.

The Dutch midfielder has been attracting attention from Old Trafford since he drove Inter to the 2010 Champions League followed by an impressive World Cup in South Africa.

Paul Scholes retirement has increased the attraction of Sneijder to Manchester United but despite some not so subtle comments from Sir Alex Ferguson Inter are still waiting on an offer to arrive.

“Are Manchester United still after Sneijder? We haven’t seen or heard from anyone– that’s a story I’ve heard from you,” Inter’s chief executive Ernesto Paolillo told reporters in Milan.

“Is Wesley definitely not for sale? I don’t think there’s anything that can’t be sold, it all depends on the price.

“You never say no if a big opportunity comes your way, but it does have to be a real opportunity.”

The transfer dealings of Italian clubs are legendary with Paolillo claiming that  a meeting between Inter’s sporting director Marco Branco and Tevez was simply a coincidence!

“We can’t stop him from coming to Milan or going to the same beaches as Branca, but we’re not going there looking for him,” Paolillo claimed.
