Callum Bagshaw Greig Spence Celtic newsCeltic striker Greig Spence has signed a season long loan deal with Hamilton Accies.

The First Division leaders have an excellent record in developing young players under manager Billy Reid.

Spence joined Celtic two years ago from Alloa and after a great scoring run at the end of his debut season helped the u-19 side to the double of SPL title and SFA Youth Cup.

A pre-season injury ruled him out for much of last season but he made a telling return in April and scored the opening goal of the game as Celtic beat Rangers 2-1 in the final of this season’s Youth Cup Final.

As well as being deadly from six yards out, only one of his Celtic goals has been from outwith the penalty box, Spence has developed his own cult following on twitter as a self proclaimed banter guru.

With a keen sense of humour and obvious love of playing football you can keep upto date with his Accies exploits on @greigspence.

The 19-year-old goes straight into the Accies team to play Livingston tomorrow.
