Georgios Samaras' agent warns Frank McGarvey and blames defenders

Georgios Samaras’ agent has threatened to sue Frank McGarvey and warned the striker’s critics to ease off.

McGarvey delivered a scathing attack on the Celtic striker’s display at Ibrox with Dr Gregory Ioannidis, Samaras’ agent, furious that his client’s performance was described as disgraceful.

Ioannidis turned to twitter to defend the striker claiming that Samaras won every aerial battle and went on to pin the blame for the Ibrox defeat on Samaras’ defensive team mates.

I am sick and tired of idiots singling out Sammy for the failures of the club,” the agent warned. “Caution must be applied now or legal consequences will follow.

“To single out a striker when your defence leaked four goals is to say the least amusing. Football is a team sport, you do not blame individuals.

“When you score 2 goals at Ibrox and still lose the game, there is obviously a problem with your defence and midfield, not the strikers

“I expect Celtic to condemn the unfair criticism against Sammy. They had eleven players and I recall one winning all aerial battles.”

Turning his anger to McGarvey Ioannidis: “Seems Mr McGarvey was watching a different game. I am sure the game has changed since he played for Celtic. Was he told to say these things?”

“When a public person uses the term ‘disgraceful’, he must be able to defend and justify its necessity.

I welcome all civil comments from Celtic fans.Just despise unjustified public statements from well known people which I find unecessary.”
