Kris Commons quits twitter

Kris Commons has decided to retire from twitter.

The midfielder joined the social network last month and has 13,000 followers.

Commons was left out of the Celtic squad that lost 4-2 to Rangers today with his lacklustre start to the season creating all sorts of speculation in the capital city of the rumour-Glasgow.

Earlier today Commons tweeted: ‘Can’t wait for the “Glasgow derby!’ which was followed after the match by: ‘Was fit and available for selection. Don’t know why I wernt picked but gotta work hard to get back in.’

Responding to speculation that he had grown bored of life with Celtic in the SPL he later tweeted: ‘To all the real Celtic fans, I love playin for Celtic and bein in Glasgow! I’m guna work everyday to recapture the form from last year.

‘Celtic is the best club I’ve ever played for and Lenny is no doubt the best manager I’ve worked under.’

Realising the pitfalls of giving away too much information on a social network he signed off with: ‘But as far as twitter is concerned I think I will call it a day and concentrate on the playing side rather than the off field talk!’
