SFA chief condemns the Daily Record

|

Stewart Regan Celtic newsStewart Regan has condemned the Daily Record’s backpage spread which asks: ‘Who’s more hated at Ibrox? Is it Lennon or the taxman?’

Supporters from both clubs have been quick to criticise the item ahead of tomorrow’s first derby match of the season.

Publicity seeker Alex Salmond called a Holyrood summit after one bad tempered clash last season with both clubs and the SFA vowing to root out the troblemakers and attempt to make the fixture less problematic.

While there will inevitably be over the top reactions to the coverage in Scotland’s second best selling daily paper the SFA and football authorities are desperate for tomorrow’s fixture to pass off without any major incidents inside or outside the ground.

Using his twitter account the SFA Chief Executive said: “It would be helpful if newspaper headlines focused on the football rather than referring to ‘hatred’ ahead of the first Old Firm match.”

Celtic are also believed to be very angry about the situation and considering sanctions against the Daily Record.

Let’s be honest. This type of headline in the daily rectum isn’t a surprise to anyone in Scotland. It has always been made clear that they are a bigotted organization, and in this day and age, somehow, getting away with it.

Regan has his work cut out to clean things up in Scotland. The cancer is spread throughout the country and sadly, the top positions are all held by those of the same mindset. Where else in the world but Scotland would there be a not proven verdict against a lout who admitted his actions, evidence heard from multiple credible witnesses, video proof making it 100% clear he was guilty?

Scotland sadly sit in the dark ages and the powers that be will not be satsified until they cause an uprising. Then they can blame everyone else! The corruption in Scotland today is shamefully protected.

I am glad I left behind this sort of hate filled trouble making when I left Europe’s most bigoted
    country.
The daily record is quite simply a rag of a would be newspaper and there are no surprises at all at this sort of headline, which is designed to inflame and provoke ahead of the big match.
No doubt there will be the usual comments from those enlightened ones blaming it all on “Catholic schools”.
