Cha Du-Ri made his first appearance in over a month today as a Celtic Development XI beat Airdrie 5-0.
The South Korean full-back has made just two appearances for Celtic this season after injuring his ankle on an international get together.
Cha’s return is a boost for Neil Lennon whose defence has been ravaged this season with Kelvin Wilson and Emilio Izaguirre both out with long term injuries.
Provided that there is no reaction to today’s match Cha will be available for selection for next Saturday’s trip to Kilmarnock.
With another round on international matches coming up on Tuesday Lennon won’t be able to shape his side until Thursday with half a dozen players on international away on duty.
Jackson Irvine with a double, Bahrudin Atajic, Paul Slane and Dylan McGeough scored for Celtic.
