Alex Milosevic Celtic newsCeltic have been linked with renewing their interest in Swedish defender Alex Milosovic.

The 19-year-old spent a week training with Celtic in January with The Sun claiming that a bid could be made for the AIK Stockholm defender when the transfer window opens.

Sweden has been a favoured scouting area for Celtic in recent yimes with Jos Hooiveld and Mohamed Bangura recruited in recent seasons as well as youth team striker Bahrudin Atajic.

Speaking to The Sun Milosevic said: “I spent a week training at Celtic earlier this year and really enjoyed it.

“Everyone made me feel very welcome and I’m flattered they wanted me to come to Scotland.

“There have been lots of things written about clubs looking at me, but I try to concentrate on learning my game.

“AIK is my local club and I like it in Stockholm, I have three years left on my contract, but Celtic is a big club. If the clubs can work something out, I would be interested.”

AIK spokesman Jens Andersson added: “Alex is a player who has created a lot of interest.

“Out of respect for the clubs, I won’t talk about them by name. But there is a lot of interest in him around Europe. He’s still under contract with us, but football is a business.”

Will we ever learn. How successful have recent scouting expeditions to Scandanavia been. Forget about this be more ambitious. The first sentence of the third paragraph says it all. Madness is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome, look somewhere else.

just what we need another young inexperienced player!!!! still the board will be happy as he will tick the cheap box!!

Why in Jesus’ holy flip flops are we looking at another young inexperienced defender when it has been made clear to the celtic management and also Neil himself has been quoted as saying we need experience to help out the squad, and god knows the first place we need it is in defence!!!

Is this just another board signing to keep the crisp balance sheet unruffled by ambition?

I don’t mind them signing young potential. I would be upset if he is the only defender brought in. If they sign him and a starting centre back we will be fine.

    what about the bold Rogne?

I just read on the BBC website that we’ve extended the trial of an Andre Blackman formerly of Bristol City and AFC Wimbledon!!!

If these are the markets and players we’re looking at, we’re in bigger trouble than i thought.

If we are looking at players (and obviously we must) is there a plan to get some players off the wage bill?
