Are Hearts worth 50,000,000 times Rangers’ value?

|

Vladimir Romanov Hearts newsHearts owner Vladimir Romanov has slapped a £50m price tag on the Tynecastle club!

Romanov paid Chris Robinson approximately £5m to take control of the club in 2005 and is now looking for ten times that amount after claiming to have spent almost £200m during his time in charge.

Earlier this year tycoon Sir David Murray sold Rangers to Motherwell-born billionaire Craig Whyte for £1 despite having paid £6m to take control of the club in 1988.

Romanov’s reign at Tynecastle has been a long running soap opera with the final chapter- the sale- likely to be the most controversial.

Apart from constantly changing coaches the Hearts chief has regularly slated the standard of Scottish football with the media and referees coming in for his fiercest criticism.

Hearts are believed to have a £31m debt to Romanov’s bank but despite the depressing backdrop the wealthy Lithuanian believes that the Edinburgh club are worth £50m!

Romanov said: “The land is worth £25m, plus the players, the club with a project, are also worth £25m. That’s about £50m. It’s not the money I spent, but now that’s what it’s worth.”

Today’s date isn’t April 1.

Seriously the man’s a complete screw ball. 200 mill? where about exactly? albeit the club may be worth a fortune for some developer but no one in their right mind would pay that kind of cash to then have to take control of another sinking scummy mob like “Hertz”

Idealy if Rankgers and Hertz would both hurry up n die it would be a result as they as simply anti-Catholic scum….no more, no less!

    HH 1NL YNWA 😀

The high value players will claim breech of contract and walk away for nothing, nobody will buy the club and he’ll close them down.

    Flats, flats glorious flats!!!

I knew the guy was completely mental but this proves it beyond any shadow of doubt.

You couldn’t PAY me to take Hearts…those debts to the Bank could be called in anytime. In today’s market he has absolutely no chance whatsoever of finding a mug with £ 50m to donate.

If he has spent £ 200m in his time at Tynecastle, they better get the fraud squad involved as it clearly hasn’t been spent on the ground nor the team.
