Calum Murray gets Dundee United match- Dallas II on his way up

Calum Murray will take charge of Celtic’s trip to Tannadice on Sunday to take on Dundee United.

The corresponding fixture last season kicked off one of the biggest refereeing controversies after Steven Craven revealed that Dougie Dougie had lied after the match to Neil Lennon.

Dougie Dougie eventually announced his retirement from refereeing but received little more than a slap on the wrists although thankfully the shamed whistler from Edinburgh, Hugh Dallas and George Peat are no longer directly involved in football.

Murray has only refereed two Celtic matches this season- the away wins at Aberdeen and Ross County in the League Cup.

Steve Conroy will referee his first Rangers match in more than a year when he takes charge of the visit to Ibrox from Dunfermline.

Charlie Richmond continues his tour of duty of the lower reaches of the game taking charge of the Dumbarton v Forfar Second Division clash which shouldn’t bring his decision making under the same scrutiny as at the recent Motherwell v Celtic match.

One worrying name to appear in the lower reaches is that of Andrew Dallas who’ll be in charge of the Montrose v Alloa match.
