Ally McCoist ban newsRangers boss Ally McCoist could be hit with a touchline ban after his outburst at the SFA Fast Track panel’s decision to upheld Sone Aluko’s two match ban for simulation.

The under pressure Ibrox boss reacted furiously to the decision criticising the panel members and claiming that compliance officer Vincent Lunny wasn’t qualified for his job.

Dunfermline boss Jim McIntyre has accepted a two match ban for his comments criticising referee Steve Conroy with McCoist’s anger and accusations certain to bring a charge from the SFA.

Following the Aluko appeal McCoist told the Rangers website: “The meeting was chaired by a former referee and I have to say his decision making hasn’t improved any since he stopped refereeing.

“The three gentlemen on the panel have effectively called my player a cheat and a liar, neither of which he is.

“What they’ve effectively done is they have said the player has cheated to get the penalty.

“It’s an absolutely incredible decision given that the referee is literally five yards from the incident.

“He has a better view than anybody in the stadium and they have gone not only against the referee but the player as well.

“The thing that stuns me is that the panel agreed there was contact so for them to uphold the decision and go against their own referee, who had a particularly good game, is ridiculous.

The rookie Rangers boss added: “The other thing I would like to point out is the compliance officer is a thoroughly nice man but he is a lawyer, he comes from a legal background not a football one.

“So effectively we’ve got someone who hasn’t played professional football telling me my player is a cheat.

“It’s staggering, absolutely staggering and to say I’m angry would be a massive understatement.”

If the SFA follow the McIntyre example McCoist will be hit with a two match touchline ban that will see him forced to sit in the stand for the upcoming matches at home to Inverness Caley Thistle and away to St Mirren.

“The under pressure Ibrox boss”- sounds like a bit of Laptop Loyal pap- substitute “Celtic” for “Ibrox” and you could be reading Keith Jackson.

Ally needs to watch his blood pressure, he is permanently raging, like a red faced bear with a migraine, all the questioning referee and SFA’s integrity will get him nowhere.

He could do with some time out in the stands before he physically and mentally explodes.

Walter Smith was smart enough to stay in the stands for a large part of games because he was clever enough to know he couldn’t control himself or trust himself with his anger issues, time for Mccoist to do the same.

The fat game show host is a joke trying to defend the indefensible he cheated got caught end of by bringing up other things from last season made you look like a silly William starting to struggle in the league out of 3 cups can’t handle the pressure ya fat bun HAW HAW

  • Brian says:

Makes you laugh, we used to have to listen to Walter moaning at Celtic having the audacity to moan about decisions and then when a decision goes against them, rightly, its a disgrace!

You really could not make this stuff up, they are the biggest bunch of hypocrites in Scottish Football. What happened to “these things even themselves out”?

I hope Sally get hit with a two match ban and decides to fight it and gets it doubled, its not a first offence as we all remember him being let off with a slap on the wrist after he had a pop at Lenny at CP.

i have never played professional football either McCoist, but Sone Aluko is a cheat and a liar- anyone who says different is also a liar imo .

  • Stevie says:

Him and his pal Butcher are needing banned for recent comments. If our referees have any integrity they’ll go on strike.

  • Joe says:

This SFA favourite won’t be punished! Are you kidding?

This is the same guy who caused a scuffle with Neil Lennon, slithered away like the snake he is, and after Lennon was handed a suspension that the SFA bungled on, not knowing their own rules, claimed McCoist had no case to answer!

The bigotry hasn’t changed any. He will not be brought up to answer this. He will get the same protection afforded his predecessor. They are all the same.

  • paul colfer says:

the press said lennon bought the hate campaign against himself. so if mccoist is now targeted will they stand by this?

  • OldRossCo says:

The guy has a dirty mouth. We have seen this before.

He is all smiles and jokes when he’s trying to get his leg over Sue Barker or giving a soundbite to a reporter on the Ibrox payroll (which they seem to be unable to afford many of at present, Tom English being an obvious exception), but when adversity comes and strips him back to his true nature, a nasty, spiteful, charmless little man is all that is left.

It would be beautiful if he was banned, further denting their ‘march toward the title’, as a result of that crooked mouth that Lennon took exception to.
