The Swede flew into Glasgow for the first time on Wednesday afternoon and watched the 1-0 win over Rangers alongside Daniel Majstorovic.
Once again the Celtic support provided an atmosphere that left television viewers gasping with the huddle early in the second half knocking Lustig for six
“I was at the game on Wednesday,” he confirmed. “I had only been in Scotland for two hours, so I was like ‘Whoa!’. It was a wonderful atmosphere and the result made sure everything was great.
“I’d heard people talking about the Old Firm and saying it was going to be like the best game in the world. I admit I questioned that. I said to them ‘Really?’.
“When I saw it, though, I realised how amazing it is. In Norway, you have a few fans behind the goals cheering, but on Wednesday it was the entire stadium.
“If I’m being honest, I watched the spectators more than the game!
Celtic chief Peter Lawwell also praised the backing of the fans against Rangers saying: “Our supporters were once again magnificent last night, and that positive backing drove the team on.
“It’s something that Neil and the team always appreciate, and they, like all of us, are delighted with our fantastic support.”
