Muslimovic walks out on Rangers for Sunderland trial

Zlatan Muslimovic has walked out on Rangers to go on trial at Sunderland.

The prolific Bosnian strike ace was expected to spend a week with Rangers as Ally McCoist looked to add to his striking options.

Former Celtic boss Martin O’Neill has now moved in for the 30-year-old who has walked out on Rangers after just one day of his week long trial.

His agent, Jan Bezemer, told stv: “Zlatan trained at Rangers yesterday, everything was nice and we were interested.

But now another offer has come in to train at another club. Zlatan trained at Sunderland today and we will now see how that works out.

Zlatan had a very good feeling about Rangers. They are a very nice club, the trainer was a good man and he spoke very well.

Rangers want him but we have lots of interest in the player. He would like to play in a good league. The leagues in Scotland and England fall into that category.”

Rangers are also reportedly interested in signing Norwich striker Grant Holt.
