Ally McCoist Rangers newsHonduran internationalist Jorge Claros has left Rangers after two weeks on trial.

Claros, known as the pitbull, has returned to Club Montagua after the Honduran side discovered that Rangers were unable to offer a transfer fee.

Ally McCoist was keen to add Claros to his striking options but has admitted that the club is unable to offer any contracts despite a number of trialists heading to Murray Park over the last couple of weeks.

Earlier this week Bosnian striker Zlatan Muslimovic cut short his week long trial with Rangers to try his luck with Sunderland while Rangers were unable to put a contract offer to Estonian internationalist Enar Jaager who is available on a Bosman deal.

Speaking about Jaager today McCoist said: “We weren’t in a position to make him an offer unfortunately.

“I’m not easily upset and a lot worse things happen. It’s maybe a wee bit of a disappointment but I’m not going to throw the toys out of the pram.

“That’s life and you just have to get on with it. I’m certainly not closing the door on that at all.

“If the opportunity arises that we are in a position to make a bid, we will do that.”

I didn’t think it could get more humiliating. McCoist is slippery in his assessment of the situation.

Will be interesting to see what happens with their recent ‘signing’ Celik. Still no fee agreed, no international clearance received therefore he can’t be registered with the SFA.

Hope he never gave up his house in Sweden!

IF URE ALL MORE INTERESTED IN THE HUNS URE NOT WITH PEARCE MCDONAGH CLARKE CONOLLY CEANT ET ALL GOD BLESS OUR COMRADES

    • Celtic Daft says:

Jim, come on mate. That’s what we live for, the rivalry. We don’t need to talk aboot them IF they’re doing well & spending this & that. Jim we had 9 years ae them waving cash at us (even though we know now it wasn’t theirs to splash.) It is fantastic seeing them as absolute TRAMPS.

    • jebus says:

jim what has your last comment got to do with the hoops?

    • Willow says:

Jim, it’s fair to say that laughing at the huns, our main FOOTBALL rivals, and their current ‘predicament’ has a lot more to do with Celtic than the events of 1916.
It’s your choice but I prefer to laugh at the death throws of the modern day hun than hark back to a time that, important as it was in history, has NOTHING to do with Celtic FC.

If RFC was a dog it would have been put down months ago, simply to let it die in peace with a bit of dignity. Not left lying in it’s own excrement comatose.

  • Mike Bhoyle says:

I was a part of the “Sack the Board” campaign…..
for a lot less reason than this.
How any Ranker’s fan can read this kind of story and “not be bothered” is beyond me.
This is the ultimate in embarassment …and don’t I just love it.
Never thought I’d see the day…..
Hope it gets worse for them…..

  • Jbhoy says:

I’d have thought they’d have cash now just not in the future when HMRC call in the debt. I guess they may have to sell to just keep the club going whether anything happens with HMRC or not.

  • mick f says:

The ‘Whyte Knight’ is making the Kelly’s of the late 80′ & early 90’s look like Donald Trump. We have every right to enjoy watching ‘them’ struggle as they did the same to us. I doubt there are many Celtic fans who want them out of buisness, we’d struggle to survive without the both of us the small amount of tv money would die away too.

    • jebus says:

mick are you kidding i would love to see them gone!! the tv money doesnt matter its only 1m and we would get that from the champions league qualifying round each year weather we win or not!

    • Stevie says:

I too would love to see them gone forever.
      Gone and forgotten.

  • BinMonkey says:

Why not laugh at them, they have cheated their way to the title for too long and its coming back to haunt them.

Maybe we should start sending them our youth players so that the wee bhoys get some playing time since the Rangers are struggling for numbers

  • Johnp says:

For supporters of a certain age this is bliss. I remember only too well their tainted 9 in a row. The indignity forced upon Celtic by the previous board and the joy they took at trying to finish Celtic off.

The media never talked about Rangers needing Celtic, they talked gleefully, in between mouthfuls of succulent lamb, of Rangers moving upwards to a different level, where Celtic were an irrelevance. How anyone cannot revel in their misery is beyond me.

I do agree with one point. Let’s not have their predicament distract up from the task in hand and that is winning the treble! Believe me our third treble in 43 years would send many Gers over the edge. Let’s ensure the final push is delivered with some style.

    • Stevie says:

Well said John but there will be a media push to try and save the shame.
Yes we must push to win every game and the hopefully treble will follow.
Surely the board have learnt some valuable lessons these past three seasons.
