Thomas Rogne newsThomas Rogne is set to win his first full international cap against Northern Ireland on Wednesday night.

The young Norwegian has been a regular u-21 internationalist and has been promised his full debut by Egil Olsen.

“Thomas will definitely play,” the veteran coach declared. “I want to give him his debut.

“He has been with the senior squad before and never got the chance to play but this will be different.

“Thomas deserves his chance. He has been in fantastic form for Celtic and is playing with confidence.

“I’m confident he can handle the step up and I hope it will be the first of many Norway appearances for him.”

    Good man Thomas. Deserve it.

  • After today’s terrific performance, he could be in for years and years. He kept the Murderwell Bull-in-a-china-shop at bay all afternoon. Well done son. Fully deserved.

Outstanding display today from the big fella, reminiscent of a young John Kennedy, hope we tie him down with the new contract.

Nice one, and well deserved! Here’s hoping he gives that bastard Healy a sore one, if the best finisher in Europe is playing that is 😉

Big Tony Mowbray left us an absolute diamond in Thomas. He’s still just a Bhoy in chronological terms but What a Defender! If we can get the right partner for him (Kelvin Wilson not up to the job)the defence wlll be as resolute as any since Caesar and Luggy. He’s as chilled as the ice cream ready for the party!!

just hope its in norway, as the abuse he will get from the biggots in ireland would be extreme.

Congratulations to young Tommy. He’s now getting a chance to show what he is made of now he is on a run. He has had horrifically bad luck with injuries but it is testament to his own desire and mental fortitude that he is back and stronger than ever. He could be a megastar in years to come and it is staggering to think just how young he still is. He has looked a solid partnership with Kelvin but whether Neil sees that as his 1st choice is up for debate, with the new Polish signing on his way come June.
