Rogne set for international debut

Thomas Rogne is set to win his first full international cap against Northern Ireland on Wednesday night.

The young Norwegian has been a regular u-21 internationalist and has been promised his full debut by Egil Olsen.

“Thomas will definitely play,” the veteran coach declared. “I want to give him his debut.

“He has been with the senior squad before and never got the chance to play but this will be different.

“Thomas deserves his chance. He has been in fantastic form for Celtic and is playing with confidence.

“I’m confident he can handle the step up and I hope it will be the first of many Norway appearances for him.”
