Lee McCulloch Rangers newsLee McCulloch has claimed that Rangers were on course for 4-in-a-row until they went into administration.

Next Sunday Celtic can put the title beyond Rangers by winning at Ibrox but the utility man believes that Ally McCoist’s men could have won the championship if it hadn’t been for going into administration and losing 10 points.

Despite Celtic turning a 15 point deficit into a 4 point lead the former Motherwell and Wigan man is convinced that Ally McCoist’s side would have retained the title.

“The fact we have missed out on the chance to win Four-in-a-Row has been overlooked,” McCulloch told the Sunday Mail.

“Before we went into administration Celtic were just four points ahead but we were then deducted 10 points. Had we not suffered that penalty I would have fancied our chances of winning the league.

“We still had to play Celtic twice with the first clash taking place at Ibrox. And I’d fancy us at home.

“However, that opportunity to win the league again has been taken away from us. Mismanagement on so many different levels, for such a long time, has cost us. It makes me angry.

“A lot of people think Celtic would have won the league anyway but we’ll never know. I would have fancied us going into the final 10 games.

“It bugs me that we have been deprived of this through no fault of our own. Purely from a footballing point of view, that’s the biggest crime of all.”

Apart from the term administration nothing change for the current buns, still the same squad still the same manager and up until recently still the same wages. What was that about excuses they said when refs blatantely disallowed goals waved away penalty kicks and dougie dougie’d…

Same old Rangers, living in a world of lies and self-deception. Fantasist. Lucky he stayed on the park yesterday after his elbow on Mackay-Smith. Thug and thief.

Is ‘Elbows’ suggesting that that they haven’t been trying to reduce the deficit, since administration? Were the R***ers fans not stating, that they would celebrate 4-in-a-row if Celtic won the league by 9 points or less? Surely, all the motivation they needed for a ‘moral victory’? Just a thought! Hail Hail x

having grown up watching davie hay, wee ten therty, danny and bobby stroller murdoch, fanny mculloch would have been sorted out a long time ago.

  • Willow says:

Turning it around, what Elbows is too stupid to realise is that they won those 3 titles by fielding a team they could never afford to pay for. Had they fielded a team they COULD afford they would never have been in any kind of position to be going for 4 in row in the first place.

  • Joe says:

When you consider that none of the previous three were legal, why would he not think this? It was only to have been anticipated that their corruption and backing from the SFA and SPL was going to continue as planned in the corridors of the establishment.

mcculloch is a thug, who is delusional. He wont last 90 minutes next week. His badness will show.

  • Kenny says:

Montrealcelt, you may have have a point pal, as I cast my mind back to the over the ball challenge he made on Kayal, and then had the cowardly audacity to feign injury to himself when he knew that mission had been accomplished in injuring a real professional player; unlike himself who masquerades as a footballer.
