Scott Brown Celtic newsScott Brown has shrugged aside the criticism from Charlie Nicholas and Kyle Lafferty of the champions elect.

After five months of biting his tongue Sky Sports pundit Nicholas was quick to put the boot in to the club that introduced him to football with a very predictable target- Neil Lennon.

All the old favourite criticisms were wheeled out by the armchair critic with Brown not slow to respond.

“Do ex-pros annoy me? Just the one really,” Brown admitted. He’s got a wee earring. He sits back and drinks bottles of champagne.

“It’s just him chirping up, just saying anything really.

“Charlie wants to say anything so people can see he is still involved in the game.

“He knows what the pressure is like and how much pressure is on the gaffer.

“He knows we have not won the league in four years and it will be great to bring it home and tell him he is not welcome at the party.”

Following last weeks derby at Ibrox Lafferty- as predictably as Nicholas- claimed that Rangers had proved that they were the better side despite watching a 15 point lead turn into an 18 point deficit.

Brown added: “Just let them say what they want. I didn’t even notice Lafferty’s comments.

“Let him concentrate on whatever he wants to say, the main thing is we keep continuing doing well at Celtic and look forward to picking up the trophy.

“Whatever happens at the end of the season will show you the best team in the league. That’s what happened last season.

“Rangers were the best team and we’ll see what happens at the end of this season.”

Laffery is hurting BAD!! He knows everything he has ever “won” at Rangers is about to be officially labelled tainted and taken from him. If I had wasted several years of my life I would be pretty annoyed too.

Charlie wasted his footballing talent by going to Arsenal (before they were a great side with Wenger)
He knows he should have gone to Man U or Liverpool.

He made a mistake. he could have been a legend in the British game. He blew it and has been lashing out ever since.
Who is the easiest target for his bitterness, resentment and regret? The Celtic family of course.

A clown figure who has become a caricature of himself with his relentless ridiculous needling of Celtic managers, racist and crass comments about Celtic fans, Idiotic criticisms of our board etc, infinitum.

I don’t get why Broonie would waste his breathe. Lets be honest, you couldn’t exactly say the idiots he retorts to have any credibility. Who with a brain even reads what either said?

Finally!! We have a manager and captain that are not afraid to say what everyone is thinking, name names and stand up for the club!! For too long we have absorbed all of the digs and libelous comments from the media and held our tongue. Not any more. The time has finally arrived when if you have a dig at us, we’ll have a bigger and more thought out dig back!

With the current situation over at Greyskull this has to be one of the best and most satisfying times in the last two decades to be a Celtic fan.

Long may it continue. Hail Hail.

What can you add to what Brown said .Well said Scott.

On Nicholas I can say that he was a good striker. I can also say, like Burley who was not a good player ,he is not what you would call a Celtic man and never will be.

He with Burley make controversial comments and prostitute themselves as lackeys of the media moguls . Men of no moral or ethical values. You are not weclome cheap earring and that goes for you too Burley.

Bitter Huns say Bitter things! Godbless Neil Lennon! Getting a little complacent after destroying the league for six straight months, doesn’t have me concerned! Either does that joke of a football match the SPL staged last weekend! Big bitter Kyle can just concentrate on getting those stars removed from his neck, since they’ll have no meaning in a few weeks! As for that other bitter old fart, who are you? Your irrevelant! Up the Celts!!!
