Celtic youth team newsHearts u-19 side lost 1-0 away to Dunfermline today with Kerr Young’s first half header winning the points for the home side.

The defeat leaves Celtic just a point behind the Edinburgh side with two games in hand.

Celtic were scheduled to play Rangers today but the match was postponed due to Rangers’ u-17 international commitments.

John Kennedy’s side have won each of their last seven SPL matches and have four games left to play, at home to Rangers and Hibs and away to Dunfermline and Rangers.

Hearts are at home to Motherwell on Tuesday then complete their campaign away to Hibs on March 31.

Celtic are also involved in the SFA Youth Cup and face St Mirren in the semi-final with Dundee United and Queen of the South meeting in the other tie.

    For me it’s always about how Celtic play, if we do our best and it’s not enough then fair play to whoever takes the title. But if we play to our best…then it’s ours.

    All great experience for the young guns, the Nextgen series will continue to stand them in good stead for the future. Never stop improving, nor learning.
