Former Celts feature in Sunday Times Rich List

Three former Celts have been listed in the Sunday Times Rich List of football managers.

Despite quitting Ipswich Town over a year ago Roy Keane is listed as second only to Alex Ferguson in terms of wealth with a fortune estimated at £29m with his old boss at Old Trafford’s wealth rated at £32m.

The list was compiled by Phil Beresford who is widely regarded as a leading authority on British wealth.

‘Trailing’ in at joint tenth place with fortunes estimated at £10m are Martin O’Neill and Davie Moyes.

Steve Bruce and Sven Goran-Eriksson both feature in the top ten despite currently being out of work with the former Sunderland boss valued at having a fortune of £14m, with Eriksson having picked up £16m.

In the playing list David Beckham is the richest player with £160m ahead of Manchester United trio of Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand and Michael Owen with a combined wealth of £124m.

Former Celtic loan signings Robbie Keane and Craig Bellamy both feature in the playing top 30 with fortunes estimated at £15m and £14m.
