Wonder boy Islam Feruz looks to have played his last match for Scotland.
The Somalia born 17-year-old turned his back on Celtic last summer and seems certain to cold shoulder Scotland after not getting the red carpet treatment at the weekend Den Haag tournament.
After starting just two of the five matches- played in under 48 hours- the petted lip was out in style.
Feruz is a notorious loner choosing his company carefully and is suspicious of anyone that tries to mix with him.
In March he went AWOL for Scotland’s u-17 European Championship qualifier against Iceland but was welcomed back three days later into the team that lost to Denmark.
Rather than face a punishment or suspension from the national side Feruz was promoted to the u-21 squad and became the youngest player to be capped at that level when he appeared as a substitute against Italy in April.
Scotland have been anxious to retain the Chelsea player knowing that he could play for any of the home nations or for three African countries due to his complex background.
The weekend Den Haag tournament seemed to stretch the tolerance of the wonderboy whose has regularly turned to twitter to let off his frustrations.
At the weekend he tweeted: ‘Not enjoyed this trip!’ and ‘Home time 😀 thank f*** for that!!!’
Later on he declared: ‘Would love to play in the African Nation Cup! Despite being eligible to play for 2 African countries other than Som 😛 MyDream!!! :D’.
Having found their loyalty repaid in the same way as Celtic it seems that the Scotland camp are no longer prepared to indulge the Chelsea player.

Feruz’s time at Celtic was punctuated by regular disappearing acts with his last two competitive appearances at u-17 and u-19 level resulting in red cards against Rangers and Hearts.
Scotland u-20 coach Ricky Sbragia admitted: “I’ll be honest with you, I don’t think anybody should have a divine right to play.
“No matter who they are, we are there to test them. From my point of view Islam’s just got to knuckle down and get on with it.
“It’s a great tester, he goes to the U21s then comes back down to us – how does he deal with it? Is he above it? Who knows?”

To be honest, I think Chelsea did us a favour when they tappped him up.
He is (and was proving to be) too disruptive and would have got in the way (mentally and as a team place) of other far more deserving youth players.
While possessing fabulous talent Feruz needs to be indulged too much.
Anyone that has watched the players come through the ranks would rate Paul George, Joe Chalmers, Marcus Fraser, Mikey Miller and John Herron as having a better chance of making the grade which is down to their attitude as much as ability.
He is a L O N G way short of being able to get away with such behaviour. I can see his career heading on a downward spiral pretty fast if he doesn’t smarten up….acting like a spoilt brat.
Quite honestly I would take the next step and tell him he isn’t wanted and can go play for any country he wants….such an attitude won’t be missed at all.
Can’t see Chelsea putting up with it for long either.
He will look back in 15 years and say “I coulda been a contender!”
Talent alone is not enough to make it in Football.
Bo$l%cks to him.
Not impressed by this little pr**k.
Seriously does he realise that without the genorosity if celtic and others, he would be back in war torn somalia or whatever other hole he comes from.
Absolute waste of space this guy, was very much looking forward to see him in a celtic top but wow. Dissapointed.
Enjoy him chelsea
i don’t like this kid. no loyalty or commitment. people put their faith and trust in him and he throws it back in their faces. he thinks he is god’s gift to football. in my opinion, he’ll never change, far too stubborn.
he seems to have forgotten it was celtic and scotland who rescued his family and gave him an opportunity in life.
A cretin, is what he is. Hope his ‘career’ falls to bits
That is all.
think hel just about match mario balotelli in terms of petulance and arrogance 1 day and when it comes, every celtic fan can look at him and go ‘just as well he didnt play for our team’
a wee pussy
No loss, total gobsh**e.
whilst his attitude is regrettable and he seems like a spoiled brat. he doesn’t owe celtic or scotland anything.
celtic and scotland want(ed) him for their footballing and financial requirements.
he is a human being with free choices to make. i hope it works out for him.
if it wasnt for celtic and scotland he would be in somalia still, he does owe us something, respect, instead we get the opposite, never thought a lad could be so ungreatful.
Gonna someone change this wee tube’s nappy? What a waste.
Hes not even that good. I’d rather have James Forrest, Dylan mcgeoch etc any day. Those bhoys have showed they have both talent and the right attitude to be football players.
Ungrateful wee sh@te.
Still it’s not as bad as I first thought regarding the headline. Thought he had turned his back on Scotland for Ze English.
Anti-football Chelsea are welcome to the spoiled little brat.
he seems to forget the reason he got his big move was because tommy burns fought to keep the ungrateful wee sh**e here.
Its a shame he has turned out the way he has, he knows no humility and will probably never understand or care about the effort Tommy put in to give him and his family a chance of a better life.He is a decent player but his attitude stinks. We have better players in the Scotland youth so its he is no great loss in my opinion.
It appears he is a budding Mario Balottelli!
All that skill and I guess not having a brain is the price he pays for it.
I hope the site admins have reported “weemarty” to the police.
I’m beginning to see why islam feruz didn’t want to stick around.
THOSE COMMENTS HAVE BEEN RECORDED, AND DELETED- EDITOR
I have no time for this lad.
I wouldnt give him the steam off of my sh*te.
However, racist comments are not called for.
Dissrespectful cretin.
And I am glad he never pulled on the hoops in a competitive match.
The shirt doesnt shrink to fit inferior players.
Or inferior people.
