Charlie Green hopes to leave Rangers with between £20-30m resting in the the clubs’ bank account!
The increasingly eccentric former Sheffield United chief made his latest claim on the Rangers website in a further swipe at Ibrox director Dave King.
Green has offered an £8.5m loan to fund a CVA that would see creditors receive at best nine pence in the pound.
Without going into any detail about his plans for the club or revealing who is in his consortium Green believes that he is on course to leave Rangers with more money in the bank than at any time in their history!
“My job is to remove the debts, get Rangers on a sound footing and put £20-30million in the bank,” Green told the Rangers website.
“Once that is done, I’m of no use to the club at all. If I could leave next week, I’d be entirely happy because I would have done things quicker than I imagined.
“That’s not possible but the quicker I leave, the more successful I will have been at my job. We need to raise the company’s profile and get it out of the doldrums.
“We also need to get it listed on a stock market with an appropriate form of funding which then deals with ownership, who has majority control and what have you.
“I think it is important to be transparent because in reality, you get found out. We have done everything we’ve said we’d do up to now.
“The minute we let someone down, I will be the first one to hold my hands up and say why it has happened.
“We are disappointed because we were criticised when we appeared because nobody knew where we had come from.
“We think that (the consortium’s approach) was professional and that that was the appropriate way to try to do thing, rather than conduct a deal through the media.”

Green(on the STV news)says they may have to accept the Embargo decision originally handed downby the SFA…?

Surely if the Judge (who ruled in their favour) said that the Embargo was beyond the powers of the SFA to implement in the first place….then it can’t be implemented now !!
Or am I missing something…?
