Henrik Larsson Celtic newsA goal in the fourth minute of injury time from Philip Andersson gave Landskronar BoIS a vital win over Ljungskile last night.

Henrik Larsson’s side had gone behind in the 36th minute to a goal from Andreas Ljunggren-Eriksson but equalised within sixty seconds through Freddi Olsson.

The game seemed certain to end in a draw until Andersson popped up ‘Larsson style’ in stoppage time to score the winner and lift LBoIS to within two points of second placed Hamarby.

Osters look like sealing promotion in record time with 28 points from their first ten matches but five clubs are seperated by two points with one other automatic promotion place and a play-off slot available from the Superettan.

LBoIS were hammered by injuries last season and spent most of the season towards the bottom of the league but after an up and down start to the season- featuring five wins, four defeats and a draw- the former Celt is looking to mount a promotion challenge this season.

“That was an important win,” Larsson said after defeating Ljungskile. “I never really saw it coming but the players battled hard and played to the very end.

“You need qualities and performances like that if you are to be successful over the season.”

On Thursday LBoIS travel to face third bottom Trelleborg with confidence high after winning three of their last four matches.

Larsson added: “We can’t look beyond our next match but the team is playing with confidence, winning is a great habit to develop.

“We’re on a good run just now but this league is very competitive and we know that you have to be at your best in every match.”
