Brown anger as Murray calls off showdown meeting

John Brown has accused Malcolm Murray of pulling out of a meeting to determine the ownership of Sevco assets.

The former Rangers defender is attempting to buy out Charles Green’s consortium and has urged supporters not to buy season tickets.

Brown has questioned the ownership of Ibrox, Murray Park and the Albion Car Park amid speculation that Craig Whyte may be involved in the background.

Green accused Brown of staging Braveheart protests with an address to fans outside the main doors of Ibrox last week but after Murray pulled out of today’s meeting it’s the Green camp that are under fire.

According to a statement from Brown the Sevco chairman called off a meeting in which he’d promised to show the paperwork relating to the club assets.

Brown added: “Rangers supporters know they can trust Donald Findlay and he agreed to meet Malcolm Murray and look at all the paperwork and give his legal opinion.

“Donald just wants to help Rangers supporters be able to get all the facts so they can make up their own minds whether or not they should buy season tickets. He told me he just wants to act in the best interest of Rangers fans.

“He just wants those supporters to know all the facts and it looked as though Malcolm Murray was going to produce the paperwork which shows who owns the club and its crown jewels.

“That is all we ask and it is what would give everyone clarity but he then pulled out and cancelled the meeting.”

Sevco claimed that the meeting has been postponed not cancelled.
