Diddy club chairman speaks out against SPL and SFA bullying

|

Scottish League newsTurnbull Hutton of Raith Rovers has hit out at the bullying tactics used by the SFA and SPL to accept ‘re-organisation’ plans aimed at creating a First Division place for Sevco.

Leaked details of the plan have outraged supporters of all SFL clubs with Raith Rovers, Dunfermline, Morton, Hamilton Accies, Falkirk and Clyde all going public with their opposition.

Clubs outwith the SPL or even just outwith the big two Glasgow sides are often referred to as diddy teams with Hutton happy to use that derogatory term as the SFA and SPL turn to clubs like Raith to bail them out

“I accept that there is a lot of pressure being applied on various people,” the Raith chairman explained discussing the position that the SFL have been put in. “Maybe the organisation that is responsible for the so-called diddy teams feel under pressure from the mighty SFA and the mighty SPL.

“There’s a big issue with Rangers but the Rangers meltdown has got nothing whatsoever to do with the First Division clubs, it’s never been our problem and yet it seems to me that there has been an abdication of the SPL failing to sort it out in the first place, the SFA wading in but not doing anything and now we’ll just punt it to the SFL and let them try to sort it out.

“And just to help the process along why don’t we try to blackmail them and frighten them- it’s bizarre. If we are now at the stage of bending rules, accommodating, threatening and blackmailing we want to give it up.

“The threat is that if you don’t vote in favour of this they’ll set up an SPL 2 and you won’t be invited, what kind of organisation is that?

“There is a lot more realism in the management of the diddy league than I’m seeing from the leadership of the SFA and SPL.”

Turnbull added: “Scottish football has been based on, or should be based on honest sporting endeavour. There should be rewards for the good sides, relegation for the bad sides and the fans should come along and see something that is at least honest.

“But the word corrupt is now being banded about and I’ve got difficulty arguing against that.”

The SFL clubs will meet at Hampden on Tuesday to discuss Neil Doncaster’s proposal/threat with the SPL clubs meeting the following day to vote on the SPL application from Charlie Green’s Sevco.

If the SFA or SPL wish to restore credibility to their tainted brands they could do worse than invite Hutton along to Hampden rather than engage in constructive dialogue with stakeholders and other marketing wideboys only interested in their profit margin.

Let’s not forget that Sevco (AKA Continuity Hun) are the diddiest of all the diddy clubs……

Well done for not caving in[yet]to these Idiots in charge. The S.P.L have blundered big time with there tactics.

The problem they have encountered is in them thinking, that the owners of every S.F.L club is as morally deficient, and as corrupt as the Hampden lodge, and soon to be extinct rangers of Govan!

I hope the S.F.L clubs stick together and do not fold on this issue.

There is no way these clubs can be punished for refusing to bow down, when the clowns in charge are breaking their own rules.

FIFA,UEFA and the court of arbitration will be on the side of the DIDDYS

  • paul McCann says:

At least the diddy teams are honest law abiding tax payers there is the possibility that Lord Carloway could provide the SFA and SPL by suspending the tax dodgers for at least one season- for people who don’t do walking away they are moving very quickly

  • Joe says:

If what Hutton is saying is fully true, nothing left out, this is actual blackmail and can be challenged.

Only the short-sighted clubs who can’t look past next week are likely to crumble to these threats of blackmail.

The short-sightedness of those in power at SPL, SFA, and SFL is that by excluding the better so called “diddy clubs” this season, their choices from those who are even less than diddy clubs means less money anyway.

What a joke the SFA, SPL and SFL have become to all outsiders looking in.

The clubs who speak out today will be punished later, make no mistake about the bullies tactics.

    My apologies Joe…

When I saw “Diddy Chairman” in your headline…I was coming on to “complain” about it’s use…then I read your article….get it now…sorry.

Anyway there’s not much left to say about this blatant and unacceptable “rescue package” to save one Club…while the game in general is going round and round in circles…before possibly disappearing down the stank.

It’s shameful what’s going on…and what’s being allowed to go on.

I sincerely hope that most clubs (feck Cowdenbeath and all who sail in her)..get together and not only tell these “authorities” where to go…but demand resignations as well.

    Only in Scotland…

  • BinMonkey says:

If the SPL start an SPL2 and invite Rangers into it at the expense of a First Division club then all the SPL clubs should walk away and set up a new league structure without SPL or Newco Sevco or what ever they are called

  • Keep up the pressure from all angles. The SPL,SFL & SFA are going down along with the stadium & training ground formally known as *rangers.

    Bye Bye

  • sands1888 says:

Only in scotland eh? Its shamefull what is going on.

However as much as it enrages me and everyone else in the country with an iq above 50, the spl,sfa etc have committed suicide with there actions although they cant see it yet.

Although its worrying times that the filth will be admitted at whatever cost. It cant go ahead as it will bring the corruption to the worlds attention.

They will between them destroy themselves.

Fifa or uefa should be brought in to end everything and set up a new organisation new unbiasef refs from abroad if possible. On a lighter note if you want a good laugh.

Check out the latest hero to the inbreds speech at ibroke on youtube. Just listen to these peepul, banjos and canoes, they probably are all related aswell.

  • Turnbull Hutton might be chairman of a “diddy” team, but his candour and stance towards those who want to ride roughshod over his honest footballing beliefs, deserves Champions League recognition.

  • Thai Tim says:

Those 3 idiots really thought they were clever and the Chairmen of the SFL clubs were idiots or stupid. What these 3 idiots need is a mirror. Look into it Doncaster, Regan & the other cretin… SEE it is you who are THICK, CORRUPT, COWARDS, USELESS, BRAINLESS, MASONIC, WITLESS, PRAWNS.

  • Thomas says:

    mmm…prawns…SFA..SPL..R*NGERS…shellfish b*stards…

  • Sean says:

I really do despair of this horrid little backward country…. Shameful.

  • Stevie says:

SFA showing its true colors would rather die than see the club they all support harmed in any way.
Just like gangrene RFC will kill the governing body unless cut off and buried.

  • harrybhoy says:

Theres not a team like the glasgow r*****s hahahaha

  • paul,c says:

lets hope the rest of the so called “diddy” teams chairmen stand up & back hutton.
