Charles Green newsCharles Green has admitted that there will be job losses at Ibrox.

Rangers began the liquidation process on June 14 when HMRC rejected a CVA put together by Green.

Almost immediately Green announced the setting up of Sevco with employees terms and conditions to be TUPE’d across to the newco.

With season ticket money decimated and no licence granted to play football Green spoke to staff today at Ibrox.

“I addressed the staff today because there will be job losses and the implications are huge,” he told Sky Sports. ”We need to draw this matter to an end now. We need the SFA to agree membership for us now so we can all rebuild and get on with our lives.”

With just six members of last season’s first team squad switching to Sevco the job losses will effect the football staff as well as other areas of the business.

Earlier today Green met with the SPL as it was announced that Dundee will replace the Ibrox club in the top flight.

He added: “I gave a verbal agreement to transfer the oldco share across to Dundee and we’ve now got verbal agreements with both the football league to admit us into Division Three and on issues outstanding with the SPL.

“The real key now for Rangers fans are the issues outstanding with the SFA – most of the agenda items that have been talked about for weeks and weeks: the transfer embargo, fines that were put out there, and payments to football clubs that had happened for previous transfers.

“It is now for newco to take on board the sins of oldco to clear a way forward. Many fans have spoken to me and said how unfair it is.

“At one meeting today it was explained that being demoted to the Third Division is not a punishment. I’m not very bright but I struggle with that one, to see that leaving the SPL and ending up in the Third Division is anything but a punishment.

“The difficulty we have is we’ve been working for many, many weeks now on these issues and there is a point where unless I as CEO accept sanctions then we won’t be granted permission to join the SFA.”

Div 3 for going into administration / liquidation.

Do you expect to get off with the EBT’s and taking the SFA to court to overturn their decision on the transfer ban?

Course you do as that’s the old Rangers attitude and nothing has changed!

No wonder they are fucked, this turnip supposedly owns the team and he doesnt even know that they havent been relegated they have infact been illegally accepted into the 3rd division while failing to meet the criteria. Thankfully for us the fit and proper person test obviously doesnt involve an iq test. Maybe bommer broon will be next haha. Carlsburg dont do takeover bids…….

“I’m not very bright…, says Charlie! Well we all know that, but the fans of oldco/newco/sevco are even dimmer! There is no way on earth that this shambles will be able to even compete in SFL3 next season. No money, few players, uncertainty over who owns the asbestos dome, EBTs, dual contracts and BDO and HMRC!

They cant even afford towels! The RFFF handed over £500 so they could buy them in time for pre-season! They might start washing now!

    HH!!

Very simple to understand Chucky you go into liquidation you lose your membership in the SPL, not a punishment but a consequence.

You then, at that time have no membership in any league anywhere in the whole wide world, however you are granted the privilage of applying for membership into the SFL, a privilage mind you not a punishment, you are then accepted into the SFL another privilage but where to play? well you’re offered the privilage of a spot, ahead of other teams just as and perhaps more deserving, in the SFL Division 3, still a bonus not a punishment, at this time you have the privilage of saying fek off and taking your ball home.

At no time is there a punishment, there’s one consequence and a whole lot of privilages awarded you Chucky

‘I’m not very bright but I struggle with that one, to see that leaving the SPL and ending up in the Third Division is anything but a punishment’

Yes Charlie boy. Kinda stole my thunder there. If you cannot see that the team that was in the SPL last year was not your beloved Sevco5088 then you indeed are not very bright as you put it.Sevco5088 have not been punished in any form, instead they have been granted a ‘Fast Track’ into the SFL bypassing the usual processes and basic requirements to become a member of this league.

The sins of the oldco and punishments to be meated out to the newco are yours by inheritance. Your decision to attach your new business to the now defunct RFC in order to somehow gain favour with the knuckle dragging support of the old cheating club is the reason you will inherit these penalties.

It is also the rock on which your newco will surely perish.

No difficulty at all Chico – accept the rightful sanctions (light as they are) or you don’t get to play football anywhere.

Unfair is it…sounding like Calimero, try telling that to the clubs that were systematically and knowingly CHEATED out of millions of ££££’s for the past decade and more.
I’m sure the British taxpayer will show sympathy at your plight, for a man who has raised £ 1billion on the stock market to be unable to settle debts of a trifling £ 120-150m.

Never mind the £ 30m you have promised to put into Sevco’s bank account by the end of the month will help somewhat in repaying those clubs who are still waiting on payments due…..while I know you will agree to hand back the 2nd place prize money knowing Motherwell will greatly appreciate the gesture and the extra £ 900,000, all for the good of Scottish Football.

While I am certain being a fair & honest man, you won’t want to be associated with any tainted titles / trophies stolen from other clubs either.

I’m sure you welcome the BDO investigation into the undervalue sale of the assets – Chico – Chico come back you haven’t paid your……….

There is no “BDO investigation” into that, this is all fantasy land stuff from inside your head!

I smell a rat here. I think Ogilvie and his merry men are punishing Sevco twice. As a new entity Sevco should have to apply to play in the Scottish leagues and start from the bottom, as has happened. But why are they also being punished for the sins of the oldco?

The only reasons for this are that either the SFA are incredibly stupid, and dont know what they’re doing, which is possible, or that at some point Ogilvie wants to pass off Sevco as the old ragers: history intact, debts cleared, the same old club with a clean slate.

In the process of trying to save the oldcos history they may well kill off sevco with the weight of the penalties heaped onto it, but I think we still need to keep a very close eye on what happens over the following months. There are still a lot of issues to be investigated. For me the oldco losing it’s tainted titles is still one of the most important.
