German star walks out on Sevco

Michael Fink has quit Sevco to return home to Germany.

Ally McCoist swooped for the former Stuttgart midfield ace a fortnight ago but with Charles Green unable to come up with a suitable contract Fink has packed his bags.

Despite being granted SFA membership Sevco have only signed six players while losing star names like Dorin Goian, Maurice Edu and Kirk Broadfoot.

On Wednesday McCoist said: “We have had three or four, maybe even five, trialists in and as yet we haven’t made a final decision on any of them.
“One or two have obviously impressed and that’s been great but as yet we’ve not made a final decision on them.

With less than a day to go in the transfer window McCoist is desperate to boost his squad ahead of a 12 month transfer embargo.

Kilmarnock keeper Cammy Bell and Hearts duo David Templeton and Ryan McGowan are the latest targets to be talked up by the Ibrox boss.

McCoist said: ”I saw David’s goal for Hearts against Liverpool and I’d rather anybody else had scored it!

“We need to get bodies in and David is one we are keen to get.

“There are a few others too. I’d like to get another keeper in, but that’s not a priority. Cammy is someone else’s player and I don’t want to talk about that.

“We need a handful of players, if not six.”

Carlos Bocanegra has been linked with a move to the MLS with a number of clubs interested in the USA skipper.
