Lassad makes his mark
The Tunisian arrived quietly at the end of the transfer window despite claims that he had signed for Levante.
After some initial injury problems the 28-year-old has scored the opening goal in Celtic’s last two away matches with last night’s goal against Hearts stamped with class.
Breaking into space on the left hand side of the box Lassaf showed great composure to let Kris Commons cross drop before driving the ball low into the Hearts net.
“He has impressed us but we’ve had to be really careful with him,” Lennon explained. “People have said throw him in but the two matches he’s started he’s came off injured and we don’t want to lose him.
“He’ll be a huge asset for us. He got a good 75 minutes against Hearts and that will do him the world of good. His overall performance was excellent.
Lennon added: “I told the players afterwards that while I was delighted with the performance we have to find some consistency.
“It’s a great win, puts a different complexion on the table but we need to find this form at home, if we do that we’ll take some stopping.
“We looked dangerous tonight, there was a spark about us and a tempo to our play that was a lot more like us.
“Fraser Forster takes pride in keeping clean sheets and had another excellent performance. To keep a clean sheet and win so emphatically was very pleasing.”
