Regan finally seeks the views of the fans

Stewart Regan news

The SFA are embarking on a major survey of Scottish football supporters.

Six months after forecasting social unrest as he tried desperately to provide Charles Green’s Sevco with an elevated position in the game Stewart Regan wishes to engage with the fans who ensured that his summer plans hit the buffers.

The annual reorganisation debate is already underway with the SFA joining with the SPL and SFL to find out what the mood of fans across the country.

Regan said: “The National Football Survey is essential in canvassing the views of supporters across the country, regardless of what level of team they follow. The Scottish FA has undergone significant modernisation with the implementation of a new Performance Strategy, Compliance Unit and the rolling out of a new board structure, including the formation of the Professional Game and Non Professional Game Boards.

None the less, we are committed to continuing that programme of change as laid out in the McLeish Review of Scottish Football. The global economic crisis has had a considerable impact in the financial health of the game in this country and with league reconstruction at the top of the agenda, it is important we listen to the people who make Scottish football the unique, passionate and proud national sport that it is – the supporters.”

The McLeish Review was published two years ago with the core recommendation of a 10 club top division finding little favour.

SPL chief Neil Doncaster added: “Scottish football has approached a watershed and through the National Football Survey supporters have a great opportunity to share their views and make an impact on all areas of the game. It is the platform to tell us exactly what the game means to you and your family, what you most enjoy, and where you would most like to see improvements.

The events of the summer proved how powerful the voice of the supporters is. We are keen to hear their views on all areas of the game and the survey provides the platform to express their views.”

Reconstruction is only being Concidered because The Rangers 2012 didn’t get voted into the SPL, this is just a fastrack ploy to get the Rangers 2012 into top flight a year or two early, so the honest mistake merchants (referees) can start their cheating ways again.
As far as I’m concerned Regan can GTF no chance.

It’s considered ya rocket lol, spot on tho Stevie, anything they can do to help the club with no moral fibre aka fc dignity.

I got halfway through the questionnaire ready to tell the SFA exactly what I think of their restructuring but was unable to read the first option for every question due to godawful amateurish formatting. The rest were all squashed together in an almighty mess.

Got to about 50% and it froze…

That level of efficiency seems ironically appropriate to the SFA. Arses.

The survey should include the question….Do you think Stuart Regan is the man to collate, analyse, and implement any changes, or do you think he is a FUDD.

  • Shamrock hoops says:

Apart from the Huns being fast tracked, Andrew Dallas, son of that cheating bigoted bastard Hugh Dallas, is being fast tracked to grade 1 refereeing, god help us all when this little fuckwit participates in the spl

Agree 100% the survey is typical of the SFA – long winded & poorly constructed with a tendency to crash.

At no point do they ask fans if they think the SFA are doing a good job, have trust in them to lead the Scottish game….although they SHOULD know the answer.

As ever with the SFA – yet more hot air and not worth wasting anyone’s time with.

They have had over 100 years and lead us precisely nowhere. THEY are one of the biggest problems facing OUR game. That’s another key point they don’t seem to get, it is OUR game, the fans will decide whether anything is a success or not…this season gates are up, competition is obvious….so why the need for change, I don’t see any at all.

We have very limited funds / resources so why attempt to spread them even thinner.

Fans owe the SFA exactly that S.F.A. instead of the condescending crap with this survey they should be begging fans to support them, give them a chance to put things right. But instead they churn out the crap about “The Scottish FA has undergone significant modernisation with the implementation of a new Performance Strategy, Compliance Unit and the rolling out of a new board structure” dream on Reagan, nothing has changed since the summer of ANY real importance….You & Ogilvie are still in position for a start – incompetent, corrupt & cheats…step down, be sacked and MAYBE then the SFA might have some credibility.
