Thai Tims salute Tony Watt

Celtic’s latest hero Tony Watt has been given the ultimate salute- a song from the Thai Tims.

Watt’s fame has gone international since he scored in the 2-1 win over Barcelona with the Thai Tims quick to put his achievement to song.

To the tune of ‘We Don’t Need No Education’ by Pink Floyd the Watt song repeats the line of: ‘All in all Barcelona couldn’t stop Tony Watt,’ replacing ‘All in all it’s just another brick in the wall’.

At the end of last season the Thai Tims visited Scotland where they performed at Celtic Park, at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow and and also visited Belfast.

Celtic’s win over Barcelona has been back-page news across the globe with even English news outlets highlighting the victory for Neil Lennon’s side.

Watt came on as a substitute for Mikael Lustig in the 72nd minute and scored his goal ten minutes later.

After scoring six times away from home, including a debut double at Motherwell, it was the first time that the Coatbridge bhoy had scored at Celtic Park.

After the match he said: ” It was my first goal here for the first team so it was really special.

“I saw the keeper coming out and I immediately knew I had to try and put it past him. Fortunately I did. It was great to score.

“I just took it in my stride and put it away. I had to treat it as I would’ve any other game. It’s my job and I’ve got to put those kinds of chances away.”
