Tom Rogic can’t believe that he’s training with the only side to beat Barcelona this season.
The Australian midfielder joined Celtic in Marbella as Neil Lennon’s side prepare for a four trophy assault course that includes two clashes with Juventus.
Suspension has ruled Rogic out of Central Coast Mariners weekend clash with Melbourne Victory with the 20-year-old fully intending to make a big impression with Celtic.
Looking at the events of the last few days he admitted: “It’s been crazy. I only found out on Tuesday I was going to Marbella to meet up with Celtic.
“Not long ago they beat Barcelona, now I’m on my way to train with them so it’s a bit of a whirlwind.
“I’ll learn a lot from them whatever happens and it’s a really exciting opportunity for me.
“What I do know is I have to keep working hard and stay level-headed. None of these chances would have come without doing that and it’s the only way to make the most of what might come up from now on.
“The future has to be week by week. I’d be getting ahead of myself if I was thinking about a year or five years down the track and trying to set too many goals.
“There was the offer from Reading last week, now Celtic have come in, so it doesn’t pay to try to anticipate too much.”
Rogic was joined in Marvella by Rami Gershon with the Israeli defender signing on loan until the end of the season from Standard Liege.
