A strong looking Celtic side saw off Kilmarnock and the chilling conditions to maintain their place at the top of the table.
Tony Watt and Miku were the unlikely striking duo with both players making their first appearance of the season at this level.
Watt looked closer to a top team call up striking the equaliser in the 16th minute with further goals from Paul George and Bahrudin Atajic giving Celtic full points in a 3-1 win.
The dowside of the night was an injury to George in the 85th minute that saw him leave the field with Killie’s Chris Johnston red carded.
Killie took the lead in the 15th minute with a penalty similar to those awarded at Hampden on Sunday with Mikey Miller the offender. Craig Slater set his penalty past Leo Fasan but the lead lasted less than a minute.
Celtic moved into attack straight from the re-start with Watt slotting a low shot into the net from 15 yards out.
Miku was proving to be Celtic’s main creator setting Watt up for a chance in the 22nd minute but the former Airdrie striker headed wide. Celtic did go in front in the 28t minute when Miku set up George for a tap in but a few minutes later the on-loan striker watched in disbelief as his own effort from within the six yard box slipped the wrong side of the post.
John Herron replaced Watt at half time with Celtic pressing Killie back despite playing into a ‘bracing’ wind. George was showing glimpses of getting back towards his best form although there is still a bit to go in his recovery from last year’s leg break.
The second half was almost constant Celtic possession but the home side stuck doggedly to their task keeping chances at a premium.
Despite all their possession it was a more direct approach that produced the third goal when Atajic timed his run onto a Stuart Findlay through ball before lobbing the ball over Anssi Jaakkola into the empty net.

Every victory for the bhoys in the hoops is a great victory, well done lhads onwards and upwards HH
Well do the Bhoys
Another good win under our belts, I’d expect Miku to absolutely star at this level though. Good to see Paul George scoring again, sure he will shake off the knock and hope to see him in the top team at some stage this season.
