Twitter bhoy @celticservant has been on form this morning reeling in fans unaware of today’s date.

Coming up with original April Fool material is difficult after the year that Scottish football has been through where the most ridiculous scenarios have been played out by the leadership of the game.

Bringing some fun to the situation @celticservant used his twitter account to pass on some bombshell quotes from Neil Lennon

*Lenny “Rangers have perhaps been punished enough. Maybe it’s time to stop bayonetting the wounded.”

*Lenny “I think if Rangers were in the league this season we’d have been looking at a record points total. We’d have raised our game.”

*Lenny “I’ll leave the league reconstruction to Peter but as Charlie Mulgrew said the players want them back. We miss those games”.

*Lenny “I’m not saying we have missed Rangers but I do think the edge has been taken off some of our performances”

*Lenny “It seems talk has turned to SPL2. If it’s the case that Rangers are invited in then we do need to consider it on its merits”

Despite many attempts to draw him into the non-debate the Celtic boss has made his feelings very clear on the disappearance of Rangers due to liquidation.

The challenge of the Champions League has more than occupied Lennon’s thoughts with the aggregate win over Helsingborgs far more significant than any Glasgow derby result.

While Charles Green took himself along to watch some top flight SPL action in Paisley neither Lennon or Peter Lawwell are expected to join in the fantastic adventure through the depths of Division Three.
