Sevco duo Imran Ahmed and Charlie Green regularly row over money with Ahmed calling his business partner a tight northern git- and far worse!
In a cosy interview with The Sun, Ahmed speaks warmly of his friendship with Green using all the predictable lines expected to defend the Ibrox chief who has been served with a notice of complaint from the SFA for using racist language.
Ahmed paints a picture of friendly Uncle Charlie battling to defend Sevco from Craig Whyte and claims that his friend from Yorkshire has raised £35m for the club since arriving on the scene in May last year.
Looking at the finances of the club which reported £7m losses in a seven month period in unaudited accounts Ahmed claims: “People are talking about all the negative aspects around Charles. It’s a real shame. We should be talking about him saying he’d raise £20million and he’s raised £35million for the company since June.
“From the brink of oblivion and liquidation he has almost single-handedly returned the club to a point where financially it is in as strong a position as it’s ever been.
“Financially it is as robust as any football club in the UK, isn’t it? I’d say he has turned Rangers into the most cash rich, stable club in the whole of the UK.”
Those quotes sound like the type handed out to the gullible at a supporters Q and A session when the toughest type of question likely to be asked is what school did you go to or have you considered changing your surname.
Tackling the racist charge that has emerged this week Ahmed decided to turn the question around to reveal the wacky terms of endearment he shares with Uncle Charlie.
“I call him a tight northern git all the time and far worse than that,” the 43-year-old Sevco moneyman added. ”We did a trip where we did four or five US states and Canada over four or five days.
“We were in the airport on the last leg and we sat down to have breakfast.
“All I ordered was a yoghurt and a glass of orange juice and he turns round and goes, ‘No, no, this is too expensive. We’re going’.
“Now we were only talking it costing about a fiver at the end of a gruelling trip and he’s got a gripe about having to spend five quid more than it should be.”
So let me get this right…….he refuses to pay a fiver for breakfast……but he pays Ian Black 5k a week to attempt to play football !
Well there’s the reason his club are going bust ……..AGAIN !

Set deflectors to maximum, send out the equility and diversity tick in the box to detract from the fact that racist comments were made, to detract from the fact that nobody is quite sure who owns the club, to detract from the fact that Green has been lying from the off. To detract from the fact that Green is shortening the wage bill because this cash rich club has more outgoings than it can sustain for the time it SHOULD take them to get back to top flight football. At least by then they’ll have three years of audited accounts for UEFA… or will they? 🙂

Ahmed is Green’s partner. He will share in any profits. He is not going to give an interview saying, “Green is a crook and a liar, I wouldn’t trust him”.
