Unquestioning BBC give Findlay platform

|

BBC Scotland Rangers newsBBC Scotland has given Donald Findlay the platform to broadcast the great myths of Rangers liquidation.

The unquestioning state broadcaster has published an interview with the Cowdenbeath chairman in which he claims that certain Premier League chairmen kicked Rangers out of the SPL ignoring the fact that a liquidated club kicks itself out of existence.

Findlay was part of the SFL vote that rejected creating a First Division place for Sevco instead throwing them the lifeline of a Third Division place without any audited accounts.

With the shadow of Craig Whyte hanging over Charles Green that decision is looking more and more questionable with the Ibrox directors launching a secret inquiry into who actually owns the club assets and the extent of Whyte’s involvement.

Despite those facts the BBC turned to former Rangers director Findlay for his opinion on Monday’s SPL reconstruction vote.

“What I find ironic is the hysterical reaction of certain Premier League chairmen who kicked Rangers out of the SPL for whatever reason,” the Central Park supremo claimed.

“Suddenly they have realised they have made a big mistake and now want them back in (the same league body) as quickly as possible – but they haven’t got their way.

“Well, hell mend you, you shouldn’t have kicked them out in the first place. It’s far too easy to blame the likes of St Mirren and Ross County for what they have done. Of course it is.

“The problem with the Premier League is that the people who should make themselves out to be the scapegoats are the ones who kicked Rangers out.”

There is deluded and there is easily deluded…all that is wrong with Scottish Football is encaptured in Donald Findlay, his inane rants & the fact the media continue to pander to such utter nonsense.

How can you kick out a club that no longer exists – has no football players

Better get your thinking cap back on soon to tell us why Sevco Mark II are still the same club – some village idiot might actually believe it 🙂

Did somebody just turn over a rock? Isn’t it strange how many of Scotland’s supposedly top legal minds can’t grasp the meaning of a simple concept like liquidation.

Mr Findlay, people like you killed Rangers, as you well know. Try telling the truth occasionally, you might feel better for it.

    Billy Boys Corporation.
Whats next, a BBC bid to sponsor Sevco?

  • Carntyne says:

Rangers, through dreadful financial mismanagement, ran out of cash and could no longer pay their bills.

Craig Whyte beat HMRC to the courts by a whisker, and had his administrators Duff and Phelps appointed to take over the running of the club.

Inability to agree a CVA with their creditors meant the club moving into liquidation, through liquidators BDO.

Charles Green buys assets, Ibrox, Murray Park, and also the former clubs players, forms a Tribute Club and calls it Sevco5088.

The new club applies to join the SPL, an application rightly denied.

Any new club must apply for entry into the bottom tier of Scottish football.

Sevco5088 do so, and despite not meeting the criteria for being allowed into the third division, they are offered a place over the heads of clubs like Spartans who have been trying to gain entry to the Scottish football leagues for years.

We now have a situation where Craig Whyte has issued legal proceedings disputing Charles Green’s ownership of the assets which were sold to Evco5088, and then mysteriously transferred to Sevco Scotland Ltd.

All facts ignored by Findlay in his hysterically funny comments.

Everyonehas been bad to the ‘The’ Rangers!

Not a very persuasive argument Donald!

    The Huns and truth??????????

You’re as well as talking to a plate of jelly as to a supporter of Norman Bates FC – “Whit ye talkin’ aboot? She’s no’ deid. Ah’ll prove it byr dressin’ up in her clathes an’ stayin’ in the same (big) hoose!”

I gave up long long ago trying to engage in decent conversation with zombies as it is an utterly futile exercise.

  • Sweeney Hughes says:

rangers were not “kicked out”, they were liquidated.
This nonsense that is being repeatedly touted within the laptop loyalist presstitutes has to be challenged.
The huns were not “saved from the brink of liquidation”.

    THEY WERE LIQUIDATED!

  • Sweeney Hughes says:

In light of the abuse Neil Lennon has endured over the past couple of years, including physical and verbal attacks on him and his young family, bullets and bombs through the post to his family address, it’s refreshing to read the honesty from andy goram, considering his previous loyalist paramilitary connections, stating that the ott banter he received in a Glasgow bookies was the worst sectarian abuse he had EVER had to deal with in the city.

  • The silver fhox says:

For a man who is supposed to have a degree in Law, Findlay is incredibly slow on the uptake and his powers of reasoning seems lamentably poor.

The Oldco did all the harm to themselves and they got off extremely lightly as the rules were not correctly applied. Their demise has nothing to do with any other club or any other institution. Indeed, Oldco were responsible for fleecing creditors and job losses in other institutions that they did not pay for services rendered.

This did not worry them and they are only interested in their own selfish, scheming methods of achieving superiority over others. Dunfermline Athletic are doing their best to make sure that their creditors are looked after as best as possible. I seem to remember Mr Findlay was also involved at the top of the Oldco organisation when they were spending money that they did not have or was not theirs to spend.

The newco are simply wanting to continue the old ways and bludgeon their way to a position of superiority by over spending again. We all know what they are trying to do. Oldco, and Oldco alone are responsible for, not only what happened to them, but also for what happened generally in Scottish football. They spent ridiculous sums that were not theirs to spend and forced others to try to keep up.

This season has been a breath of fresh air without them. Three different teams have won the last 3 cup finals and this years league has had good competition for Celtic from a number of other clubs. These clubs will improve further and the competition will get better.

It is a fallacy to say that we need Oldco back. We don’t need them and given time the game will improve.

Already youngsters are being blooded by their clubs and policies are changing which will allow clubs to grow and become more self-sufficient by improving and selling on players. The last thing we need is a club to spend out with their means to build a position of power and put pressure on all other clubs.

They are to blame for the ills of Scottish Football and they will have no intention of helping clubs get back on a stable footing. The clubs will do this themselves in Oldco’s absence and without Sevco and football this season has been much healthier.

    I do NOT miss them.

  • SJY says:

If its ok for the media to refer to Whyte as a “proven liar” why isn’t Findlay tagged as a “proven bigot” based on his on screen karaoke performance?
