Charles Green newsFormer Rangers chairman Al Johnston has spoken out about the cancer running through the Third Division champions.

Johnston was chairman of the old club as power switched from Dave Murray to Craig Whyte in a £1 deal just over two years ago.

Last summer he looked on from afar as the club went into administration then liquidation with fears rising that the new club is heading in the same direction.

Charles Green’s sudden appearance and departure has been accompanied by various new figures emerging with a full scale civil war going on in the boardroom due to the vacuum in leadership.

“There is a cancer spreading throughout the club and it’s not going away,” Johnston told The Herald.

“My concern is that until self-serving investors are eliminated then the club can’t go forward. With so many investors – in quotation marks – trying to play an active role in the guidance of Rangers Football Club, I don’t think that is a healthy situation.

“I don’t know the people involved but I really wonder about their agenda. I really wonder in whose best interests are they working.

“A lot of people can say they have the best interests of the club in mind but it is easy to say that.”

Johnston added: “There are people vying for control and influence and they have got to lay down their ambitions and be transparent about finances and investment.

“The board of Rangers – whoever it is and however it is constituted – has to come out and be transparent about the assets and the commitments and what that will mean to investors.

“What has been promised to investors?

“There is a power vacuum and there hasn’t been one in 140 years at Ibrox. Someone has to come out and show guidance.

“Until the supporters can see a line-up of people that they can get behind then they have a dilemma. At some point somebody has to say to the fans we want you to spend money and here is what we’re going to do.”

The most gullible support on Earth will get behind anyone who blames Lawell for their demise! Literally Harold Shipman could take over as long as he said it was Lawell’s fault and threw in a couple of supremacist rants.

Well said Keighley Bhoy, If I hear about the huns going into administration ‘again’ again, so to speak, I think I’ll through up!
The only way the huns could be put into administration ‘again’ is if they had survived administration the first time.
      They did not.
They were not saved from the brink of liquidation.
Their debt did not ‘go away’.

They were LIQUIDATED and as such, whatever this shower call themselves, if they go into admin it will be the first time in the inglorious and short history of their pitiful septic club!!.
      END OF!!

Murray ,you know the one who was duped by the Motherwell Billionaire Whyte has ruined this Club .The support ,however, will never beleive this .Johnson was and is ,if nothing else, a Rangers supporter. The Sevco brand is easy prey to Venture(Vulture) Capitalists, who will seize and dispose of any assets the Club has and Sevco or whoever they are go back into receivership and possibly never be seen again. If their support contiues to rely on Smith and McCoist to save the Club they are deluded .Smith and McCoist have no power or clout when it comes to a Vulture and his money. The SFA ie Ogilvie will have no way to stop this unless they intervene, withdraw their licence and they go back into receivership and get rid iof the incentive for the vulture scum.
