Big hearted Celtic fans have raised thousands of pounds for charity by scaling Ben Nevis- and staging the world’s highest ever huddle!
Over 100 fans braced themselves for the worst weather of the summer to scale the 4408 feet mountain as part of the 1254125 campaign.
Throughout the year, to celebrate the clubs’ 125th birthday, fans have been organising various events to raise money for charity- matching the spirit that launched the club in Glasgow’s East End in the late 1880’s.
Supporters have responded with hundreds of initiatives ranging from a sponsored cycle run from Sligo, birth place of BrotherWalfrid, to Celtic Park through to more traditional golf days and race nights.

Today’s hike up Ben Nevis was carefully managed with the fittest of climbers setting off last to allow them to join the early starters at the summit.
Supporters gathered from all over to take part in the climb with thousands of pounds raised for the Celtic Charity to distribute.
After welcoming the six cyclists who had pedaled their way from Ballymote to Celtic Park Chief Executive Peter Lawwell said: “On behalf of everyone at the Club, I would like to thank and congratulate these six Celtic supporters for completing such a great initiative.
“This is a tremendous achievement, and it is very poignant that these supporters made the same journey as Brother Walfrid did, with the same aim of achieving such positive results.
“Celtic’s origins of charitable purpose are well known and during the course of this season, through our ´1254125´ Campaign we aim to do something very special to celebrate these unique traditions, and in doing so assist more and more people in need who are most deserving of our support.”
