Kenny Shiels newsKenny Shiels has been given a two match ban by the SFA for claims made about the influence of Celtic.

The Kilmarnock boss told the BBC that Celtic were a monster with massive influence over judicial matters before re-tracking the comments in a later interview.

Speaking to Radio Scotland he claimed: “They have got a massive influence in the judicial panel and things like that, decisions that’s made. Celtic are the monster of Scottish football.”

Shiels was called before the SFA to explain the comments and was given a two match ban with a further two match ban suspended.

The Kilmarnock boss has often been critical of Celtic and Neil Lennon in particular, prompting the hoops boss to compare his fellow Irishman to television character David Brent from The Office.

‘Kenny has always had plenty to say about our club,’ Lennon said at the end of April. “He just likes to ramble on in little monologues. He’s a bit like David Brent sometimes. He’s an unconscious comedian.

“I do take exception to the paranoid comment. That has been thrown at our club for the last 15, 20 years but I think the last three or four have proved we are not paranoid — we are just right.

“Nothing surprises me from Kenny, he’s had a couple of barbed pops at the team and the club over the past few years. I don’t know if he has a personal agenda against us. You’ll need to ask him that.”

Shiels’ touchline ban will cover the first two matches of the 2013/14 season.

I for one think it is a good thing if we have influence over judicial matters. Can you imagine the suspensions Neil Lennon would receive for fabricated offences if we didn’t have influence???????????????

And the band played on …….. Who gives a flying monkeys what shiels says or does. He’s a no-scope and our manager shouldn’t even acknowledge his existence. But congrats to the SFA for keeping up the illusion of FairPlay in Scotland. HAIL HAIL

I’ve got a feeling the killie board will be looking hard at this slimeball when the gate receipts are counted for Celtic games next season.
They ofcourse need look no further than themselves, but having a handy scapegoat tends to be the hun way.

Fair comment about the ban, but when will the goat lovers take the staff at the asbestos dome to task over their constant comments?
