Charles Green newsCharles Green has won the battle of the blueroom to axe Malky Murray.

The former Sevco chairman survived two votes of no confidence before being demoted to non-executive status as Walter Smith was brought in as chairman.

Green appointed Murray as chairman a year ago but quickly fell out with the veteran banker who was keen to install proper governance at the new club.

Murray was credited with bringing in money from the City of London for last years share issue but with no audited accounts published the exact amount raised remains something of a mystery.

In a statement to the AIM this morning the club said: “The Board of Rangers International Football Club plc has announced non-executive directors Malcolm Murray and Phil Cartmell have left the board.

“Walter Smith, Chairman of Rangers, said: “Both Malcolm and Phil have made important and valuable contributions to the Club. The last year has presented the Club with a number of challenges and it has been beneficial to have two highly experienced non-executive directors such as Malcolm and Phil offering assistance.

“On behalf of the board I would like to thank them for their considerable efforts in helping to rebuild Rangers. Both men have other significant business interests and we wish them well in their future endeavours.”

The departure of Murray leaves chairman Smith isolated on the board with controversial transport tycoon James Easdale expected to become a club director this week.

Smith’s appointment as director was viewed by some as a move to stabilise the boardroom but this morning’s news blows that idea out the water with the future of the former Rangers and Scotland boss uncertain.

UPDATE

At 1pm this afternoon Easdale was confirmed as a non-executive director, the club described the 42-year-old as ‘an entrepreneur and a director of several businesses including McGill’s Bus Service Limited, a leading independent bus operator in Scotland.’

Malcolm Murray was asked to resign as a sevco director when an investigation revealed that he was actually an honest, reliable, and trustworthy businessman.

Walter Smith said: “Sadly, Malcolm had to go when we realised his character had never been endorsed by the Daily Record”.

The trouble with telling lies is that you have to cover up these lies with more lies. This lasts forever unless you experience metanoia. This will never happen with Sevco. They are doomed to swallowing lies forever. You need open minds and willpower to break this habit.

So only the cardie is left out of all the good honest ‘rangers men’ sadly for them and happily for us the sharks are in total control now they will fill there boots with the cash ( as dividends from shares so its legal) till there’s nothing left then punt it to the next ‘good guy ‘ who’s loved sevco from afar since they where born oh and they will need another share issue or the club will die again and the mushrooms will dig deep as they are stupid and never learn. God bless wee fergus it could have been so different HH
