mccoist tashAlly McCoist has delivered a massive blow to the hopes of the rebel group looking to grab control of Sevco by endorsing the current board known by many fans as the spivs.

A dozen different supporter group have given their backing to Paul Murray and Malky ‘Golden Chinos’ Murray amid warnings that the Third Division champions will be in administration before Christmas.

The Murray’s forced the cancellation of the clubs’ first ever AGM in October but have been dealt a series of humiliating blows as the current board outflank them at every turn.

Now with the backing of McCoist, who bought his 3% shareholding for one pence per share at the same time as his business partners Charlie Green and Imran Ahmad, the current board look certain to win the day at next month’s AGM.

The fun loving former Question of Sport skipper has previously given his wholehearted backing to Craig Whyte, Charles Green, Malky Murray and Craig Mathers, usually after a cup of tea, round of cakes, couple of beers or tray of sausage rolls, didn’t require much convincing to welcome Graham Murray and David Somers as the right men to take Sevco forward with the good of the club at heart.

Speaking to the official Sevco site McCoist beamed: “It seems like it has been a long time coming but it is great news that we have a new Chairman and Chief Executive.

“I’ve met the Chairman briefly and I’m looking forward to meeting the new Chief Executive later today.

“We have to have a healthy working relationship which I’m hopeful we can have.

“The relationship between a Chairman, the CEO and the manager is, in my opinion, the most important at the club so there will be a lot of discussions.

“I wouldn’t say I’m specifically going to ask one or two questions, I think there are a lot of things he’ll want to know from me and a lot I’ll want to know from him.

“Stability is certainly something we have been lacking at that level and Graham has a very good pedigree working in some high profile jobs.

“Looking at his CV I don’t think this job would be something that scares him and that’s certainly what I’ve got from speaking to him this week.

“The one thing that we’ve all wanted, supporters, shareholders, staff, is stability in the boardroom so that we can move forward.

“The team at the moment is doing fine on the park in terms of the league campaign so they’re showing a little bit of stability so hopefully we can have that at board level.”

Later at his media conference McCoist was asked if he would vote with the Murray’s and the Ibrox rebels replying: “That would be committing suicide but I haven’t honestly given the vote much thought, that’s something I’ll think about nearer the time.

“It doesn’t put me in an uncomfortable position at all because the one thing I will certainly do – and have always attempted to do – is the right thing for the club and that will continue to be the case.”

Last season’s Third Division Manager of the Year added: “”The only assurance we would all require, myself, staff, players, shareholders, would be that everyone has got the club’s interests at heart and I think it’s safe to say that might not have been the case with some previous people who have been here. That’s the only assurance I would hopefully get from the new board.”

Talks over a new contract for McCoist are well underway with a new bumper £1m-a-year deal likely to be announced before the AGM.

As long as both parties keep backing each other,we can continue the laughter.
‘I will do the right thing for the club’ , aye like taking a massive salary when your team are playing in the lower leagues against part timers. He’s a joker right enough.

Fat Sally wants his cake and eat it.
He will back the heavyhole bouncer due to his cv.I wonder what the big lump makes of sally’s cv – out of 8 cups in 2 years.

C’mon drawkcab, mustangs are beautiful horses or a classic prestige car. Sleekit is more like a scabby butlins beach donkey or a 1970’s trabant. Your right about the commitments though, a bunch of rank amateurs.
Keep the boot on the throat.
      hail hail

Clearly a manager has to pick his words carefully when talking about his new boss but fat Sally really is one arse licking wanker.

  • jas says:

Sleekit must have that speech on his PC and just changes the name every week/month when a new CEO/chairman arrives.Changes horses more often than AP McCoy.

the most important thing at a club is the relationship between a manager chairman and CEO, WHAT ABOUT THE ZOMBIES would they not be the most important, I also came to the conclusion that the reason the rankers don’t score in the 1st half is that fat sally would hope to get some half eaten left over pies thrown at him lol…

Same McCoist that backed White and Green. Well things do happen in 3s.

  • OldRossCo says:

Sally is playing the fat idiot card to perfection and all the time making a healthy profit.

He always seems to back the guys making a skin off Rangers, but never tarnishes his own reputation.

How long will it take Rangers fans to figure it out?
